About Organisation
The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation is a State-owned Public Sector Company that was established in 1956 under the Companies Act. With effect from April 1, 2010, this corporation was registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 under the name "TAMIL NADU CIVIL SUPPLIES CORPORATION." It purchases, stocks, and distributes critical goods for the PDS, Spl.PDS, and Noon Meal Program. The Corporation maintains department shops as a market intervention method to manage open market prices of vital commodities such as rice, dhal, vegetables such as onion, tomato, and so on.
