About Organisation
During the 19th century, the fisheries were the only source of sustenance for a segment of the population living in the coastal region and on rivers, lakes, and canals in India.
Tamil Nadu Government Fisheries and Fisheries Welfare Department, Chennai Regional fish and Fisheries Welfare Department under the control of the Deputy Director of the Chetpattu Laboratory office have announced job vacancies for Fisheries Assistant.
Qualification for Fisheries Assistant
Must be able to read and write in Tamil. Must also be familiar with swimming, fishing, net weaving, and fishing nets. Preference will be given to holders of Certificate of Training at any Fisher Training Center conducted by the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Welfare.
