The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has been released the Exam Announcement for For various postings. Interested candidates can apply for this job on or before Aug. 8, 2021. Application details have been included in the below post.
The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No. XXXVIII of 1949) created the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) as a statutory organization to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India. The Institute is administered by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Government of India.
The next practical training evaluation will be performed online on January 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2021. This test is open to students who finished their first or second year of practical training between April 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020. If a student is eligible for both level exams and has finished the first year of practical training between April and September 2019 and the second year of practical training between April and September 2020, he or she can choose the level when enrolling for the upcoming test.
PT test ICAL Details
This will be a 75-mark Objective Type MCQ-based test for 1st Level and a 100-mark examination for 2nd Level. There will be no repercussions.
The News Updates published in the June, July, and August 2021 issues of the Students' Journal will be used to answer questions about current events in the next test.
There would be no time for reading. For authentication and system checks, candidates should connect to the link 30 minutes before the exam start time. Candidates will not be allowed to join at a later date.
Mode of test

Minimum prerequisites for a home-based test at the candidate's end
- A competent gadget (Desktop PC or Laptop only) No mobile or tablet Internet connection with a minimum speed of 1 Mbps (Mobile Hotspot is to be avoided)
- A good camera and a microphone are required.
- Compatible with PC/Laptop browsers: Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
- Candidates must utilize the Admin user to log in.
- The system's date and time should be accurate.
Eligibility for PT test ICAL

Fees for Examination for PT Test ICAL
When a candidate applies for the exam for the first time, he or she will not be charged a price. If he/she applies for the test a second/third time to enhance his/her grade, he/she will be forced to pay Rs.200 via online means.
Admit Card Issuance for PT test ICAl
On the 11th of August, 2021, the exam Admit Card will be available on this portal, and applicants are encouraged to print it. There will be no actual admission cards issued.

How to Apply for PT test ICAL
The application form must be completed entirely online. There is no need to bring a printout of the application form to the Institute's office. You may, however, keep the duplicate for your own records at least until the admission cards are released.
There will be no opportunity to select the exam date or time while filling out the application form. The ICAI will include the examination date and time on the admission card.
What is the procedure for completing an online application form?
Step 1: Go to the portal and log in.
The applicant should go to https://pttest.icai.org/, click on the Login option on the home page, and input his or her Student Registration number as well as his or her date of Birth as recorded by ICAI. These details will be cross-checked against our candidate database.
The candidate will not be able to register for the exam if these facts are not verified.
Candidates will fill out the needed information, take a photo with a webcam, and submit their photo ID cards. Photo Id should be no more than 50KB in size. Please do not use dots in the file names
Step 2: Candidates should check their application status using the link "Login" to see if their application was properly collected by the site.

The ICAI's Practical Training Assessment Test is structured as follows:
Two subjects (Accounting and Auditing, as well as Corporate Laws) will be required for both the first and second levels of the Practical Training Assessment Test.
For the first level test, students must choose one of three optional modules relating to their practical training specialized area. Students must choose two of the three optional courses relating to their practical training specialization area for the second level.
Grading System for PT Test ICAL
The ICAI will give grades to students who take the practical training assessment test during their articles based on their performance/marks as follows:
- 1. A grade of 80 percent or above is required.
- 2. Grade B: 60 percent and over, but less than 80%
- 3. Grade C: 40 percent and up but less than 60%
- 4. Grade D: Less than 40%
On the 12th or 13th of August 2021, a mock test will be held. All applicants will get an email with their Mock Test schedule, which will also be available on this portal after logging in.

ICAI Clarification on PT Assessment Test Applicability of Legislative Amendments, Notifications, and Circulars in Indirect Taxes
For practical training evaluation, the cut-off date for legislative modifications as well as amendments made by notifications and circulars under indirect tax legislation is as follows:
For assessments to be conducted between June and October:
For Example, for assessments to be conducted between June and October 2021, the cut-off date for amendment applicability will be 30th April 2021, i.e. for assessments conducted during this period, questions will have to be answered based on the current state of the law as amended up to 30.04.2021.
Between December and April, the following assessments will be conducted:
For example, The cut-off date for the application of modifications for assessments done from December 2020 to April 2021 will be 31st October 2020, i.e. for assessments completed during this time, questions will have to be answered based on the current state of the law as modified up to 31.10.2020.
ICAI Clarification on Assessment Test ‘Date of Completion of First/Second Year of Practical Training'
The ICAI has clarified that, for the Practical Training Assessment exam, the first/second-year completion date will be one year/two years following the date of practical training beginning, irrespective of excess leaves.
If a student began practical training on July 1, 2017, and took leaves from January 1, 2018, to February 1, 2018, his or her first-year completion date for the assessment test would still be June 30, 2018, and his or her second-year completion date would be June 30, 2019, despite the excess leaves taken by the student.
However, in the event of termination or transfer, the time spent transitioning from one principle to another will not be included toward the completion of the first or second year of practical training.
If a student started practical training on July 1, 2017, transferred on January 1, 2018, and then started working for a new Principal on February 1, 2018, his or her first-year completion date for assessment purposes will be extended to July 31, 2018, and his or her second-year completion date will be July 31, 2019, unlike in the case of excess leaves.
Note for PT test ICAL
Please note that this is the final try for students who finished their second year of practical training between July and September of this year. If a student has finished the first year of instruction during this time frame, the Level 1 exam will be taken for the last time, and the student will be able to take the Level 2 test at a later date.
Students who qualify for both levels can choose their level while filling out the registration form. If a student registers for Level 2, he or she will not be permitted to register for Level 1 in future examinations.
Frequently Asked Questions for PT test ICAL
Is it possible for you to re-register for the PT test ICAL?
Students who have taken the CA practical training exam before (one or two times) and want to enhance their performance/grade can retake the exam. The best of the grades will be considered for review and inclusion in the mark sheet in this scenario.
Similarly, students who had previously registered for a test but were unable to attend the test. Can register again by paying fees of Rs. 200.
During the above-mentioned time, students can register for the exam using the registration page, selecting their preferred test dates and locations. Students who desire to reappear must register online and pay a cost of Rs.200. Selecting a test site does not mean that it will be confirmed.
So, how do you go to the venue of your choice? When you register as soon as possible when registration opens, your chances of receiving a preferred site rise. If you register later or at the end, you will be assigned the second preference's location. The author was involved in the same incident twice.
Depending on the number of candidates in that region for that exam day, a student may be allocated to any of the two venues. However, the place chosen as the first preference will be given priority.
What happens if you're unable to register for the PT teat ICAL?
You believe you meet the eligibility requirements but are unable to register for the exam. Don't worry, email ICAI at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any eligibility-related questions.
All emails will be responded to, and students who are eligible to take the aforementioned test will be able to register even if the registration deadline has passed.
When I originally took the test, I felt I met the eligibility requirements, but I was unable to register. So I wrote to the ICAI, who responded to my question and allowed me to register. Please include your registration number and date of birth in your correspondence.
